With the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League wrapped up attention turned this week to the 65th birthday of Neil Rigden, one of our many fantastic supporters. Neil, who has been a pitch side regular throughout the teamβs first two seasons, was presented with a stunning chocolate cake by daughter Rachael to commemorate the occasion.
Β Β Β Neil is a devoted Liverpool supporter who has endured almost thirty years of hurt since his side last won the Premier League title. He was just 36 when Alan Hansen last lifted the Trophy at Anfield, so itβs perhaps just as well it only took Social Eyes two years to lift some silverware. Neil, who has retired, is also a keen golfer; that is, of course, when wife Janet allows him to sneak off with his clubs during a rare day off from domestic chores.
Of course, we all know that there is one chore Neil loves above any other; thatβs washing his beloved Mercedes, checking the water and oil levels and looking closely for any evidence of a scrape or chip. Itβs white, of course, which makes his task all the harder. Love is hard.
Neil has been a fantastic supporter to us all here at Social Eyes. Heβs always helping and is a loyal friend to everyone at Harding Avenue. He has three daughters, including Rachael, two sons-in law and three grandchildren.
So, THANK YOU and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Neil from your second family here at Social Eyes!!!
