Activities and Nightingale hospital Cardiff

A busy day for The Green Team, on the front line, making a difference to our wonderful service users. πŸ’šΒ πŸ’šΒ πŸ’šΒ

The Social Eyes buddies found there were lots of activities to report yesterday while they were delivering the Covid-19 activity pack. Hannah’s walk led her through a delightful carpet ofΒ  bluebells, Martin made an amazing trifle for tea, Laura made Easter buns and many of you were out for your daily exercise enjoying the sun.

While Ryan was out delivering TheΒ  Boss was enjoying a cake.

And Simon & crew are back in Cardiff and sending you more photos of the work they are doing to change the Principality stadium into the Cardiff Nightingale hospital. As you will see there were moments of hilarity during the fitting of the ducts for the wiring to instal the nurse call system.

There was also a big change in the last week while they have been back home. So they decided to send the football fans more photos of how it is today. Hope you are enjoying the transformation.

The Principality stadium is a 74,000 seater stadium where the Welsh Rugby Team battle against opponents from across the globe and where the football titans of Europe fought for the 2017 Champions League Trophy.

The stadium is also host to speedway and in August 2019 Manchester Utd played A C Milan in International Champion Cup; while at Xmas is was highly decorated.

Hopefully this lockdown will end soon and it will return to a sporting stadium again.

Social Eyes buddies unveiled

Good morning everyone, today we are doing a roundup of photos of some the activities that you are all sending in.

Our team members who visit you daily have been renamed “Support Buddies” by many of you, so here we go some of the support buddies in action.

Our support buddies have been out delivering craft packs & giving support again, chatting to you, with the social distancing in mind, and bringing me back some great photos.Β  πŸ’šΒ πŸ’šΒ πŸ’š

Davids jigsaw the beatles

We have Claire baking chocolate chip buns [ which I am sure she will recreate for the end of lockdown party, David’s completed Beatles jigsaw [he is a music fanatic so even his jigsaws have to be music inspired], Martin trying out the exercises before his daily walk, Sam cleaning the car and Rachel drawing.

Our footballers, who won the South Yorkshire Ability League last season, and their supporters may be interested in more photos of my son, Simon, who is sharing his photos of turning the Principal stadium in Cardiff into the Nightingale hospital, Cardiff.Β  He was there for a week and fitted 113 executive box rooms and 80 corridors with the essential nurse call systems and today he returns to Cardiff to complete 1200 more nurse call units. Although the hospital has been opened there is still lots more to do and as he sends me photos I will share them with you all and maybe our Social Eyes team will get to play in this fantastic stadium when all this is overπŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’šπŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’šπŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’šπŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’š

They show the transition from football stadium to intended 2,000 bed hospital.

And the final one from last week was the opening of the roof to let the sun shine down on the hundreds of workers, army personnel and volunteers. It will certainly take a lot of work to restore the pitchΒ  πŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’šπŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’šπŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’šπŸ’šΒ βš½Β πŸ’š
