Fun, excitement and football trophies!!!

Wow, what a day! The heat, the excitement, the presentation of football medals and fun and games.

First we received the news that another of Social Eyes own videos had made an appearance on The Buzz, by Community Catalysts. Faye’s number 9 challenge to draw a cake in the dark was the featured video this time. We will all miss these challenges when we return to normal.

Then on the St Josephs pitch at Stubbin, where we have opened up as our building at Harding Avenue is not large enough for effective social distancing, we had fun and games for the morning, with the grand finale at 11.30 when football medals were presented to our League winning football team. So popular has been the football training and games that next year Social Eyes will have two teams in the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League.

There will be a team entered in the Championship and another team in the participation league. So maybe next year we will have two winning teams. The cups were provided by St Josephs FC team who we are allied with, and Paul Armin was there to represent the club at the event.

And there was also a cup for Rachael, our number one supporter. She never misses a game and encourages every player. Could loyaltiesΒ  be split next year, Rachael?

Final challenge of the lockdown set by Faye

Here it is the final challenge of the lockdown set by Faye. It’s number 10, so if you have missed any, look back over the daily blogs and have a go.

The weather is improving, hopefully, so hope you are all enjoying a relaxing, lazy Sunday.
The forecast for the weather is looking promising this week and hopefully we will be able to run with 3 afternoons of activities to help us break out of Lockdown.
We are constantly looking at different options & venues so we can hopefully eliminate the disappointment of last week.
This week WILL be a good week.
