Wathwood Xmas festivities

This morning, it was off down to Wathwood hospital for a delightful carol concert and a bustling stall at their annual Christmas market. The air was filled with the sweet sounds of festive melodies. In addition to the concert, the market showcased a variety of handmade crafts, delicious treats, and seasonal decor, creating a perfect backdrop for holiday shopping and merriment. Families gathered, laughter mingled with festive tunes, and a sense of celebration enveloped everyone, making the event a truly memorable start to the holiday season.

Earlier this week The Banned performed at the switch on of Rotherham Council Xmas lights in All Saints square.

We will remember them

Our Social Eyes headquarters contains a war grave plaque dedicated to the men and women who died in the 1914-1918 war, serving as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom. This plaque not only honors the bravery of the soldiers who fought on various fronts but also pays tribute to the countless families affected by the loss of their loved ones during this tumultuous period in history. As visitors approach the plaque, they are encouraged to reflect on the profound impact of the war and the resilience of those who persevered through such challenging times. It serves as a vital educational tool, fostering a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made and the importance of peace, reminding us of the duty we have to remember and uphold their legacy.
