Creations @ Social eyes launched

Last Tuesday’s launch of Creations @ Social eyes, @ Social Unit 10 Alexandra Centre, Rail Mill Way, Parkgate, Rotherham. S62 6 JE was a tremendous success. The Tuesday group down at the Parkgate hub have been busy manufacturing wax melts and packaging them for sale to the public.

For those visiting our site for the first time, Social eyes are a local group aimed at helping adults with mild/moderate learning disabilities and Autism to grow, achieve and succeed with friends.

We offer numerous activities at a number of sites within the local community with our headquarters at Drop in Centre, Harding Avenue, Rawmarsh. S62 7ED. Each site has an open door policy and all activities are documented here on our website. There is nothing hidden. Do you think this is the service for someone you care for.

Flexible in our approach, the service is tailored activities designed to meet any individual interest and need.

This group of Social eyes clients moved to an industrial unit in Parkgate late last year and the members of our Tuesday team have been working hard on this new project.

The group wanted the project to have an industrial link, which would allow our members to learn new skills, develop entrepreneurial opportunities & help build individual confidence & wellbeing.

These young people face challenges every day of their life due to health restrictions or mobility issues but you will note from the smiles that these activities play a huge part in their everyday wellbeing.

The stall had to be set up inside the unit due to the inclement weather, but was still well visited. The group provided refreshments and a jovial atmosphere permeated the unit throughout the day.

The training has begun

We promised you yesterday that there would be lots of football training photos, well here they are. I am sure you will agree, there are some nifty ball skills on show.

Don’t worry we will catch up with last weeks activities up at the hubs in the next few days.

There are lots to see, so spend Sunday with us and every day after, catching up on the Social eyes Rotherham hub activities.

See you all tomorrow.

Training is back @Kickabout Football Centre

Excitement in abundance this morning for our talented football squad as we launched the new football training.

It’s been a long time coming, but the service feel the that the time is right, as we once again prepare to compete in the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League [SYACL.com].

As our competitive matches for the 2021/2022 season start in October we need to get match fit if we are to win the League again, as we did the last time we competed in 2019; Covid stopped us playing last year.

Adding further to the excitement, we have moved to a new training facility @ Kickabout Football Centre, Unit 1-2 Vantage Drive, Tinsley, Sheffield. S9 1BG.

Kickabout is a fantastic state of the art facility that we are excited to be working with. It’s a huge privilege to have the opportunity to take our team members to these facilities; professional footballers also use this venue!!

Accessibility and parking is first class; with a fantastic coffee shop available on site.

Let the fun, footy & friendship be kick-started again today; come back over the weekend when I am certain that there will be lots of photos of the day to be shared.
