Karaoke, bingo and the gardeners in full bloom up at the Harding hub.

A busy couple of days. Up at the Harding hub it was karaoke, dancing, art and the gardeners were out in the garden brightening the local area thanks to the tyres kindly donated by AP Tyres, Parkgate and bright paintwork. The winter snowmen were transformed to summer happiness.

Down at the Parkgate hub it was games, games and bingo, while a group enjoyed a trip out.

Art, birthdays and a trip down to the woods

Up at Harding Ave hub the artists in the group were all hard at work making the posters to celebrate Social Eyes 5 year anniversary on Friday 11th June. As celebrations are muted due to Covid restrictions it’s chip butties all round for the Social Eyes celebrants.

Down at the Parkgate hub it was artwork and birthday celebrations for Jason and Joseph followed by games.

A trip out to the woods for some in the beautiful sunshine.

Busy, busy, busy

Down at the Parkgate hub this week it’s been games, manufacturing and more games.

Up at the Harding hub it was fruit tart planning, production and consumption.

Outside the Harding hub the gardening crew were busy while the non gardeners supervised and took the sun, while there was a trip out for some.

And to finish, Happy Birthday Jane.

Anything but idle??

Today it’s another Social Eyes travelogue, this time to the Idle Valley Nature Reserve, North Road, Retford, Nottinghamshire. DN22 8RQ., one of the largest sites for nature conservation in the East Midlands

The café and shop at Idle Valley Nature Reserve are open between 10am and 3pm for drinks, cakes with test and trace in place. Toilets are open.

The car park and reserve remains open for visitors to enjoy at the recommended 2 metre distance from others.

Come back Saturday, when we will catch up with all the other activities from this week on from the hub fronts.
