Social Stop Café is a learning disability café which offers our service users the chance to serve hot food and desserts to the public.

All the food is freshly prepared home-cooking, right down from the coleslaw to the various soups, and a variety of different desserts, cakes, brownies, blondies, muffins and much more!

All served in superb surroundings.

We currently have spaces for new customers to come and visit our lovely café which is based at Wickersley Cricket Club, Northfield Lane, Rotherham S66 2HL.

Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing many new faces.

Our opening times are every Tuesday between 11:15am and 1pm.

A fantastic training day was successfully completed by our Social Stop Cafe team, filled with enthusiasm and learning opportunities that fostered team unity and enhanced our skills in providing exceptional service to our valued customers. We explored new techniques, shared insights, and engaged in various interactive activities that not only improved our individual abilities but also strengthened our sense of community. As we wrap up this productive day, we are looking forward to reopening next Tuesday, eager to implement everything we’ve learned and to continue serving our wonderful patrons with even greater passion and dedication.

New dishes are being planned and trialed for the cafe, featuring a variety of flavors and ingredients that aim to enhance the overall dining experience and appeal to a broader range of customers, while also incorporating seasonal produce to ensure freshness and sustainability.

Different day at the Cafe with games followed by serving management Team and our guys with a lovely lunch.

And not forgetting the clean up when all was finished.

A lovely first day back at the cafe after the break and yummy Fish finger, mushy peas sandwich was one of the dishes that went down a treat! Along with jacket potato with filling, or quiche and side salad.

The winter menu is now in full swing, and the new addition, a sausage sandwich, is becoming immensely popular.

Following a short intermission for the universally acclaimed Autumn show, everyone has returned to their culinary attire and preparation for tomorrows cafe.

The Social Stop Cafe team worked diligently today, resulting in satisfied customers and delightful food—a true mark of a job well done.

We’re now taking a few weeks off. Our Social Stop Cafe will be back in early September.

Easter has arrived at our cafe with a sell out Easter luncheon and the draw for our Easter raffle. Winners will follow shortly.

First it was all hands on deck preparing for the feast.

Then came the big day.

New delights in the cafe this week after a busy day for the cooks.

The luncheon club @ The Church prepared a feast this week.

And the Easter lolly production was in full swing.

Today’s cafe menu didn’t disappoint, so why not give them a ring to book and pop along for a culinary treat.

Meanwhile back at Social eyes the healthy eating group were delivering their offering.

Monday 12th & Tuesday 13th February 2024

Wow, bumper week in the food preparation this week. At the hub the food group went out shopping for ingredients, then back to prepare for the Pancake day.

Meanwhile preparations for the Tuesday cafe which was a Valentine’s day celebration were already underway, so there were chocolate favours to be made and bagged.

Then came the best bit, tossing the pancakes. A great deal of effort was put into the throw but some didn’t quite make the catch!! But they made buns for after’s.
