Welly Wanging photos!!

Finally, a few welly wanging photos arrived. So many activities going on during Friday that coverage, unfortunately, was not as extensive as we hoped. Promise extracted from Claire that next week more wellies will be wanged, including a staff competition. Don’t miss that and hopefully lots of photos will be on this website next weekend.

Becky did a great job colouring the welly included in this week’s pack. A very colourful welly.  💚 💚 💚 💚 💚 💚

Week 3 Summer of Sports, Welly Wanging and a Yorkshire tribute !!!

The heat was certainly turned up for our Friday’s Summer of Sports event …. (in more ways than one ☀️)

The sun shone, we laughed and played and we Welly Wanged?? As it’s Yorkshire Day today we thought we would have a good old Yorkshire traditional game. Unfortunately the photos of the competition are still under wraps, but log in tomorrow and I will chase them up.  💚 💚 💚

Meanwhile it was a great day for all the teams. After week two the positions were: – Bumble Bee on 49 points, X Factor on 44 points, In It Together on 57 points and The Rock on 45 points!!!!    Let the week three heats begin.    💚 💚 💚

Elsewhere there is a new website launching today [Saturday 1st August] which could be of interest to the footballers of Social Eyes as it features them.

It’s a website dedicated to the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League and that’s the league Social Eyes will field two teams in – when football returns soon, hopefully. The site launches at 11am today, so why not give it a look. http://www.southyorkshireabilitycountsleague.co.uk.

Here’s a few of yesterday’s [Friday] photos and I’m off to chase the welly wanging photos for tomorrow.

Summer of Sport week 3 plus Welly Wanging!!!!!

Morning everyone, Friday again and Summer of Sport week three.  A beautiful morning, we all love the brighter days, however today’s temperatures are going to be very high, which could pose health risks to our vulnerable adults, so a request to try & prepare your son / daughter for today’s extreme weather (with sun lotion and clothing protection) has been posted.
Some parents have already made the decision to keep their child at home, as there is no shaded area on the field @Stubbin.

Meanwhile let’s catch up with yesterday’s activities.

Games on the field and a single file walk looks to have been one of the highlights. The Banned were tuning up to accompany the games.

Today, Friday, as well as the Summer of Sport week 3 heats there will be Welly wanging!!!! A Yorkshire sport that celebrates tomorrow’s Yorkshire Day.  So, don’t forget to visit tomorrow to see those photos.  💚 💚 💚 💚 💚 💚

The action packed field activities are certainly very popular even when the weather lets us down, loving the great outdoors!!  💚 💚

Sun, memories, hospital refit & Kit Aid

Morning everyone, the weather @Stubbin is beautiful today [Wednesday]so I’m sure there will be lots of fun and games and photos later and hopefully for the next two days if the weather holds.

So I can update you all tomorrow with the activities, and maybe an update on the building of the dugouts @Stubbin.

Meanwhile here are a few memories of Social Eyes football team winning the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League last season and hopefully when football returns we will have two teams competing in the League.

We also have more holiday photos from Richard in Manchester. Spot the backgrounds of them, there’s Hogwarts and South Park but I will leave you to spot the rest.

If you have a day out, send us a photo to publish.

Also for those of you following the hospital refits due to Covid there are pictures of the Liverpool Whiston hospital which is at the moment undergoing it’s upgrade ready for the expected winter crisis.

Stay safe everyone, and join us tomorrow 💚 💚 💚 💚 💚 💚

Meanwhile our affiliated club, Rawmarsh St Josephs have donated kit to Kit Aid and have helped a container go from near empty at lockdown to this.

Soon to be Africa bound.  💚 💚 💚 💚 💚 💚
